Friday 9 February: Office day 2

Today was going to be the last day at office before the first weekend was going to start. I was looking forward to the weekend because I wanted to see more of Bangalore and the Indian culture. So we wake up early and had a delicious breakfast before taking the taxi to the office.
The office here is very different compared to offices in the Netherlands, from the outside the building looks older of course. But another difference is that everyone is working in scrums, which means that everyone is sitting together with four people who are working on the same. So there are all small clusters of four made were people can work.
Today I had to join some meetings at work, so I could learn more of what those people are working on and how they are working. I learned something about sprints and they talked about subjects like dcom. This was new for me so it was a new experience which was interesting.
At 5 A.M. we were finished working. We had to eat dinner so we went to the luxurious area of Bangalore with good food and good stores. We ate at the World Trade Center building which was 30 floors high. We ate at the roof and we had a beautiful view of the city, especially when it became dark you could see all the lights going on and all the traffic driving across the streets.
At some point it started to rain, but luckily we were under a small roof so we could still enjoy eating at the roof while dry. After a few minutes we saw the first lightning and it was really cool to see this because you could see how the lightning was going down. A few moments later a big part of the city was dark, so probably the lightning must have struck there.
When we finished our meal we went to the shopping mall which looked like a normal shopping mall in Europe. It had shops like Zara, Nike, Adidas, Samsung, MacDonalds etc. But we went to a supermarket to buy some food and drinks for in the hotel. Because only drinking water will get bored after a while.
We drove back to the hotel and relaxed a bit and we went to bed, because the next day we were going to visit the city so we needed to have energy for that.
